A celebration was held in Sana'a on the occasion of the International Day of the First Workers of Mayer under the slogan "Protecting our homeland and building it with our hands". The ceremony was attended by Political Council member Mohammed Ali Al-Houthi, Deputy Prime Minister for Security and Defense Affairs Maj. Gen. Jalal Al-Ruwaishan, and a number of ministers and the Secretary of the Capital. He pointed out that the workers had the first breakthrough throughout history for the revolutions and renaissance towards the independence and building of modern Yemen. The General Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry said that the targeting of private enterprises and the infrastructure of the national economy led to the deterioration of the economic and living conditions of many workers and employees working in various economic establishments. She pointed out that thanks to the steadfastness of the Yemeni people, many business owners have been able to regain their activity to varying degrees. The Federation of Chambers of Commerce appealed to the international community to press for a halt to the aggression, lifting the siege and working towards a peaceful political solution to achieve security and stability. He called on companies, employers and private enterprises to understand the circumstances in which the country is going through and to stop any actions that harm workers and improve their situation.
