A consultative meeting today in Sana'a, headed by the Minister of Civil Service and Social Security Idris Al-Sharjabi, included the ministries of the Civil Service and Communications, the General Authority for Social Security and Pensions, the General Organization for Insurance and the Civil Status Authority and the General Post Authority, the appropriate mechanism for circulating the national number and address and switching to e-government. During the meeting, the Minister of Civil Service, in the presence of the head of the Civil Status Authority, Major General Mohamed Abdel-Azim, CEO of the General Authority for Social Security and Pensions, Ibrahim Al-Haifi, and the Deputies of the Ministry of Civil Service for the Information Technology Sector, Muhammad Sharaf Abu Taleb, the Deputy of the General Authority for Social Security, Aref Al-Awadi, and Director of the General Post Authority, Muhammad Mirgham, discussed the main axes and related steps forming a vision project for digital transformation in the Republic of Yemen to provide government services to individuals, citizens, and government agencies and their beneficiaries in a better and safe way. The Minister of Education asserted the necessity for the Information Technology Sector in the Ministry of Civil Service and similar sectors in the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and the concerned units to provide clear and accurate visions and ideas on the draft circulating the number and the national address and the appropriate mechanism for that. During the meeting, the level of the existing network linkage between the Ministry of Service, the Civil Status Authority and the General Authority for Social Security and Pensions was reviewed to arrive at a real assessment of the effectiveness of the linking process, available opportunities and shortcomings required to be addressed and the activation of the network linking to find a national platform that enables the relevant authorities to manage the project with modern methods and techniques appropriate to the requirements of the overall performance for providing government services in simpler ways. It was agreed to complete the networking to ensure the most dynamic and continuous transmission and flow of digital information and data among the participating units. The meeting was attended by a number of specialists and technicians at the authorities participating in the consultative meeting.
